After its Production Car WRC win on its debut world rally event in Sweden last weekend, DMACK Tyres now has its sights firmly set on the start of the MSA Scottish Rally Championship this weekend.

The Snowman Rally in Inverness kicks off the new season for the Scottish series and sees DMACK Tyres join as official tyre partner for the next two years.

Competitors will be able to use the same DMG-ICE snow tyre that took Martin Semerad to victory in the PWRC on Rally Sweden. The newly-designed tyre allowed Semerad to score three fastest PWRC times, and Martin Prokop four in the S2000 class, in what was a dream debut for DMACK.

The results confirmed that, although the tyre range has been manufactured as a cost-effective option, it has the performance and durability to match leading global motorsport brands.

Snowman crews will have the option of the DMG-ICE snow tyre and the more traditional DMG2 gravel tyre for this weekend’s event.

DMACK’s support of the SRC will see it offer free tyres to winning crews. The winners of the DMACK Group N and DMACK Rear-Wheel-Drive championships, open to eligible competitors running on DMACK tyres, will receive free tyres for the entire 2012 SRC.

In addition, any SRC registered driver, exclusively using DMACK tyres, who wins a championship round overall will receive six free tyres – with second place netting them four tyres and third place two tyres.

Dick Cormack, DMACK Tyres motorsport director, said: “The Rally Sweden victory was a dream result for us. We were quietly confident regarding the performance and durability of the tyres but now it has been proven on the world stage and during some of the toughest winter conditions. Crews on the Snowman Rally this weekend can use the same tyre, technology and experience from WRC Sweden. We are really looking forward to this event and to kicking off our partnership with the SRC.”
