Jari Latvala and Asko Sairanen will start in FIA Historic European Championship candidate rally which is held
during auto24 Rally Estonia. They will drive Ford Escort RS BDA.
Historic cars will be first in the road on both days. On Friday they will drive two stages and on Saturday
three stages.
The ultimate purpose is to hold FIA Historic European Championship round in Estonia. As there are a few
gravel rallys it is very likely to organize one round in South-Estonian roads.
Jari Latvala started with rally in 1981 and has driven with Ford Escort for several years now. On 2010 he
participated with Asko Sairanen in FIA Historic European Championship round in Sardinia, where won the
third place.
Jari Latvala: “I am very glad to come to race in Estonia. Years ago my son won a rally in Estonia when he was
17 only. Roads in South-Estonia are good. I believe that with rear-wheel drive Ford it is fun to drive there.”
auto24 Rally Estonia is held on South-Estonian roads on 15-16th of July. It is the fourth round of Estonian
Rally Championships, second round of Baltic Rally Champoinship, the only Estonian race that is in the FIA
calender and candidate rally for FIA European Historic Sporting Rally Championship.
