The Iron Dames rally crew of Sarah Rumeau and Julie Amblard secured their best-ever overall result with fourth at the 2025 French Gravel Rally Championship’s Rallye Terre des Causses.
The duo were on the pace from the start and set a pair of third-fastest stage times, and a consistent run across the opening day meant they ended Saturday in a podium position. The second day started with another third-fastest stage time, and Sarah and Julie held onto their podium position until the final stage. However, a hard-charging Pablo Sarrazin in the stablemate Citroën C3 Rally2 took the position on the final 20km stage, forcing the Iron Dames to miss out on a maiden rally podium by just 6.9 seconds.
“We drove well on the first day,” said Sarah Rumeau. “We had a couple of punctures which affected our tyre quota, but we stayed positive and now we’ve passed a milestone of being on podium pace. We’re hoping to make even more progress at the next event and learn more with this car.”
