A new season deserves a fresh look—and Toyota GAZOO Racing has delivered just that.

As the 2025 FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) shifts into its high-speed European summer leg, the reigning champions have pulled the wraps off a striking silver livery for their dominant GR Yaris Rally1 cars. Revealed on Monday, 28 April, the bold redesign ditches the familiar black base from the first four rounds in favour of a sharp, metallic silver finish—punctuated, of course, by Toyota’s trademark red and black accents.

It’s not just about aesthetics. The updated look signals intent. After a blistering start to the season—including a jaw-dropping 1-2-3-4 finish at Rally Islas Canarias, led by Kalle Rovanperä—the team is clearly in no mood to ease off.

Fans will get their first glimpse of the silver GR Yaris Rally1s in action at the Vodafone Rally de Portugal from 15 to 18 May. Behind the wheel: a powerhouse driver line-up featuring Rovanperä, Elfyn Evans, Sébastien Ogier, and Takamoto Katsuta—all gunning to stretch Toyota’s lead in the manufacturers’ standings.

Toyota heads into Portugal undefeated in 2025, with wins chalked up by Ogier in Monte-Carlo, Evans in Sweden and Kenya, and Rovanperä most recently in the Canaries. The team now sits on 96 WRC victories, inching ever closer to Citroën’s all-time record of 102.
