Travis Hanson remains on course leading the Super Production class standings after the latest rounds of the Rally America National Championship on the West Coast.

The team finished second in the provisional classification, with the final results yet to be released by Rally America for the latest event, the Oregon Trail Rally.

The wide variety of road surfaces throughout this event challenged the teams, and after the entire weekend of rallying, mere 3.6 seconds split the top two drivers in Hanson’s class. “It was a very fun race. We got to see every kind of road condition from tarmac to gravel and slick clay,” Travis said “for us, this rally was about adaptability to the changing surfaces.”

The official results of the rally remain provisional pending the outcome of a inquirey by T. Hanson Motorsports against fellow class runner Ramana Lagemann. Regardless of the decision of the organizers in this matter, the Hansons will continue to lead the class standings with two events to go in the championship.

Speaking of the race, Travis said “the battle with Ramana was pretty awesome. I’m amazed at his ability to come back with one stage to go, ultimately taking the lead on the fast stages. This kind of battle is what makes a production class so fun to contest.”

The team is headed to the fifth round of the Rally America National Championship, the Susquehannock Trail Rally, which runs from June 3rd to June 4th. This event is a championship favorite and has an interesting mix of fast stages and rough, more technical stages. Hanson is happy to be in a great position going into this rally to secure the championship and says “I’m excited to race STPR this year, we are going to go out, have fun and show the spectators some action.”

The team wants to thank Dick Hannah Subaru who came on as a generous event sponsor at Oregon Trail. The team would also like to thank their continued sponsors: Team O’Neil Rally School, Olson’s Auto Body, OSLV, Exedy and Broken Motorsports for their support.
