The European Rally Championship (ERC) returns from 23 – 25 September with the 68th Rally Poland, and Luca Rossetti, the reigning European Rally Champion, will be at the start with number 1 to try to regain the leading position in the continental championship ranking, a leadership that he lost having missed the last two races valid for the European Championship, the Barum Rally and the Rally Principe de Asturias.

The strong Italian driver will tackle the difficult Polish gravel stages at the wheel of the Abarth Grande Punto S2000 with his co-driver Matteo Chiarcossi. Certainly Rossetti – Chiarcossi will be determined in wanting to compete in a race that can see them battling for the podium, but moreover to recover the Championship lead. The competition will once again be very strong and qualified as usual, and even more numerous due to the presence of Polish drivers and many others from Eastern European countries, as well as the top ERC drivers.

The ceremonial start of the rally is scheduled in Mikolajki at 16h00 on Friday 23 September followed by the Super Special Stage measuring 2.5km. The race will resume on Saturday 24 September with the crew ready to tackle six special stages for a total of 109.75km. The 68th Rally Poland will end on Sunday 25 September after a total of 13 special stages and 230.23 timed km, with the first cars due to arrive at about 18h20 in the beautiful and picturesque town of Mikolajki.
