HHRally.com is excited to share the 2025 calendars for the Tour European Rally (TER) championships! The upcoming year promises a mix of returning favorites, exciting new locations, and significant milestones across all three series: the TER Series, the TER – Tour European Rally, and the TER Historic.
TER Series: The World Series of TER
Entering its third year, the TER Series kicks off its global campaign in Dunedin, New Zealand, with the Otago Rally. This event, which launched the championship in 2023, saw TER Ambassador Hayden Paddon take the victory. The series then heads to Mexico for the returning Rally of Nations Guanajuato, a former TER Promo Event in 2022. Rally Barbados, a cornerstone of the series for the third consecutive year, follows. This event has seen recent victories by rally stars like Hayden Paddon (2023) and Stuart Maloney (2024). The grand finale for all three TER championships, including the TER Series, will once again be Rally Terra Sarda in Sardinia. TER promoters are also awaiting confirmation for the potential inclusion of the Tennessee Rally USA during the summer.
TER – Tour European Rally: A Decade of Excellence
The TER – Tour European Rally celebrates its 10th edition in 2025! The season begins in April with the brand-new Rally Poreč in Croatia’s Istrian region. The calendar also welcomes back Rallye du Chablais in Switzerland after a one-year hiatus. Latvia joins the championship with Rally Cēsis, bringing fast gravel stages to the Baltic region. Spain’s Andalusia region continues its presence with a new event, Rallye Ciudad de Granada, featuring the challenging dirt roads around Granada. Rally Terra Sarda in Sardinia confirms its place on the calendar for the fourth year running. Decisions are pending regarding two Portuguese events under contract: the Azores Rally and Rally de Lisboa.
TER Historic: Preserving Rally Heritage
The TER Historic, now in its 7th year, will follow the same calendar as the TER – Tour European Rally, culminating with Rally Terra Sarda.
TER Promo Events
The TER season has already begun with the Arctic Lapland Rally in Rovaniemi, Finland. This long-standing TER Promo Event offers a surreal, fairy-tale atmosphere within the Arctic Circle. The “Cronoscalata Tandalò” is also confirmed as a TER Promo Event for the third consecutive year, taking place at the end of the season.
The 2025 TER championships promise a diverse and challenging platform for rally enthusiasts worldwide, blending iconic venues with exciting new territories across Europe and beyond.
