Finnish driver Toni Gardemeister will be back on international scene in 2011. Last two years he wasn’t doing so many events, but his times on Rallye Monte Carlo with old Punto or 12th place in overall classification on Neste Oil Rally Finland with private Fiesta were unforgetable. Now it seems there is bright view into nearest future.
35 years old driver from Valkeala is working on the programme of several IRC events with S2000 car. Recently he is trying to make a deal with some private team with Skoda Fabia S2000 Evo 2, but car from another manufacturer is also possible.

Programme of starts in 2011 will be confirmed in the beginning of December, but for sure the main target is Intercontinental Rally Challenge. „We are now discussing all the details with sponsors and also trying to get additional budget and support from any other companies. But for sure we will start on Monte,“ told Toni Gardemeister.

As usually in last years, he will not do only events in Intercontinental Rally Challenge. He has some plans concerning few events in local championships – in Finland for Neste Rally, in Latvia and mabye in Russia. Moreover he is preparing his BMW for some starts, most probably in Germany and on Saaremaa Rally in Estonia.
