It has been long rumoured that the wild yet fast Russian rally driver Evgeny Novikov will make a return to the World Rally Championship in 2011, and this rumour has been confirmed with the 20-year-old announcing he will once again take up the challenge of the World Rally Championship.
Behind the scenes and out of the spotlight of the global rally audience, Novikov has been honing his rally skills on a number of Russian and select European, Asian and Scandinavian events in Subaru Impreza WRX STi Group N. Michael Lepiekov, the man responsible for the success of Novikov and enabling him to reach the WRC in 2008 and 2009, has been feverishly working on the deals that will see him most likely pilot a Ford Fiesta RS WRC in 2011 under the Novikov MS banner.
Evgeny Novikov recently ended his riding career. The twenty-year old Russian is all etched into my memory fierce driving style and in 2009 its extreme jump at Rally Finland. Now it seems that the young Russian will return to the rally.
