Now PG Andersson finally can take a deep breath and say: “Yes, I’ll be there.” He has entered Rally Sweden, the event running from 10 – 13 February.
“A very happy moment not only for him, but also for the spectators and of course also for the event,” stated the director of the rally Bertil Klarin. “For us it´s very important to have a Swedish driver competing in the WRC class.”
What made it possible for Andersson is the fantastic support from his fans which in less than two weeks brought together the required money needed for the start. Private people, clubs and small companies came together and gathered more than €50,000. Together with bigger companies and a great sponsorship plan, he received about another €100,000.
“I am very glad and feel honored over this enormous backing,” said Andersson. As a result, he is now very positive and looking forward to the start in Karlstad on 10 February.
This is a fantastic opportunity for Andersson, most probably his best chance to make an indelible impression on the WRC community. He will be piloting a Ford Fiesta RS WRC for this event.
