Welsh teenage rally driver Osian Pryce is looking forward to his second taste of the famous Mid Wales forest stages when the 17 year old student tackles this weekends Welshpool-based Plains Rally at the wheel of his G & M Pryce backed Fiesta ST.
Pryce, who only passed his driving license earlier this year, enjoyed a strong British debut when he finished his first UK rally in eighth overall back in March. Since then he traveled to Carlisle where he had hoped to compete on the Pirelli Rally but a broken driveshaft on the first stage meant the long trip north was in vain. As a result Pryce is now eager to get back in action and with prior knowledge of these stages will be hoping for a good strong rally;
“After doing the Bulldog Rally in March and thoroughly enjoying these stages I really cannot wait to get back in the forests. The Plains Rally has always been one of my favourite events to spectate on and this year I’m getting to compete on it!”
The Plains Rally runs over seven stages around Mid Wales, including the famous Gartheniog, Dyfi and Hafren Forest Stages and ends with a spectator stage around the Mick Jones Timber Yard just outside Welshpool. The first car is due to begin the popular woodyard stage at approximately 3:15pm.
