Aberangell-based student Osian Pryce drove a faultless rally to bring his G & M Pryce supported Fiesta ST back to the finish of the recent Rally Marketing Mid Wales Stages a fine third in class and in doing so took his first ever top ten overall result.

17 year old Pryce, co-driven this weekend by Iestyn Williams, admitted to having a slow start to the day but once he had found his groove he began to push and rapidly climbed the leaderboard. The only issues the young talent had all day was catching slower cars, and with the exceptionally dusty conditions hampering visibility he was forced to err on the side of caution otherwise a much higher result might have been possible!

“I really enjoyed myself today,” said Pryce. “The car was fantastic and it is a pity we were stuck in dust towards the end of some of the stages but that’s just rallying. Pikes Peak was awesome and now that I’ve sampled these stages I really want to do Wales Rally GB in November!”

Pryce will travel to Latvia in two weeks time to contest the Rallye Latgale. Regular co-driver Craig Parry will join Osian in the G & M Pryce backed Ford Fiesta ST for the event. In 2009 the pair contested a number of Latvian rallies as part of the Junior Rallying scheme and recorded a string of strong results.
