The 2008 European Champion and current European series leader Luca Rossetti will be at the start of the sixth round of the 2010 European Rally Championship Rally Vinho da Madeira, also valid as the eighth round of the 2010 Intercontinental Rally Challenge 2010, which will take place in the beautiful island of Madeira (Portugal) from Thursday 5th to Saturday, August 7th.

With his usual co-driver Matteo Chiarcossi, Luca Rossetti, fresh from the victory in the Bosphorus Rally in Turkey will be at the wheel of the Grande Punto Abarth S2000 of Team Procar. He will take part for the third time in his career in the prestigious Portuguese race, where he will face a wide and fierce competition. The participation in the sixth round of the European Championship was made possible, in addition to the active support of the Procar team, with the support of Luca Rossetti’s advertising partners, Omnia Energy, Divita, Damaplast, Champagne De Vilmont and Usag.

A particularly focused Luca Rossetti said: “I chose to participate in the European Championship together with United Business, which takes care of my management since several years, at this stage the results are proving us right. I am aware I have a good advantage in the European championship standings but experience has taught me that in order to win a championship an opportunity to accumulate points should never be missed. Rally Vinho da Madeira is a tough race in a beautiful island with wonderful people and especially passionate, I will be at the start to honour one of the most beautiful and important rallies in the world, I am aware that it will not be easy to get a positive result, but I will try to defend and if possible increase my leadership in the European Championship”.

After winning the Bosphorus Rally, round five of the European Championship, the Italian crew will do everything to increase the advantage in the Championship standings. The calendar of the FIA European Rally Championship after the Vinho da Madeira continues with the Barum Czech Rally Zlin, the Rally Príncipe de Asturias.
