Leeroy Poulter, 29, one of South Africa’s most versatile motor sportsmen with championships in karting (both national and international) and production car racing and victories in off road production car racing, karting, production car racing and off road racing and national championships in karting and production cars, and a multiple national champion in karting, production cars, Leeroy scorched onto the SA Rally Championship scene in 2010. Each event he started in 2010 was brand new, yet he started a five rally winning streak which saw him clinch the Class A6 title with two rounds to go.

In spite of 17 S2000 cars starting each event, Leeroy and Henry had their 1600cc car in 8th overall on the 3rd round, in spite of this being the driver’s first experience of wet, muddy and misty conditions. ON round four, he went one better, bringing the A6 car home 7th overall.

By September, his performance had earned him a works Toyota drive in the top S2000 class. In only his second outing in his new car, he was on the podium, 3rd overall.
