Italian Champion driver Luca Rossetti won the Bosphorus Rally and extended his lead in the European Rally Championship (ERC). On the fifth leg of ERC in Istanbul, Rossetti brought his Pegasus Racing Abarth Grande Punto S2000 home with over one minute’s winning margin over the Ford Fiesta S2000 of Turkish driver Yagiz Avci.
After having some suspension problems on the first day of the rally, Rossetti drove a controlled event. The 2008 European Championship-winning crew of Luca Rossetti/Matteo Chiarcossi had a comfortable lead to the finish.
According to plans with Luca Rossetti and Pegasus Racing, Rossetti will drive Pegasus Racing’s Abarth Grande Punto S2000 on the ninth round of ERC series, the Elpa Rally.
