British co-driver Craig Parry has decided to part company from Polish rally driver Leszek Kuzaj after three successful years competing alongside each other in the Polish Rally Championship.
The decision has not been an easy one for Parry, who has always enjoyed competing in Poland.
“Like all drivers and co-drivers who compete together for a long time, we’ve been through a lot together,” said Parry. “We’ve won events and lost events, and I have enjoyed taking part in the Polish Rally Championship where I have made some great friends, and competed on some great stages.
“But the time has come when I feel I have to move on for personal reasons. It’s not ideal to leave a seat mid-way through the championship, but I wish Leszek all the best with the remainder of his season and with finding a new co-driver.”
While the decision does leave Parry with some spare weekends in which to look at co-driving for other drivers, he will continue to partner Tom Cave in the IRC and Osian Pryce on various events, as both teenage drivers continue to develop their skills on worldwide stages. Last weekend he guided Cave to his first outright rally win on the Coracle Stages.
