Day Two of WRC Rally New Zealand is completed, and even with a full day of road-sweeping duties, Petter and Phil are fifth overall and only 53 seconds behind the leader.
“I did know it would be a really hard job sweeping the roads for the others, but on some stages today it was very difficult and we lost a lot of time,” says Petter Solberg. ” Usually it is more easy when we do the second loop around, but here it were still no lines for me to follow, it’s like driving on bearings some places.”
Sebastien Ogier is now the overnight leader, as we head into the final day, while Sebastien Loeb made the most out of his road position today and is now second. “Loeb had the perfect start position today, but I must admit I’m impressed by his pace today,” said Petter Solberg.
Only four more stages to run on Sunday. Petter and Phil will be fifth on the road. First car will be on the road from 0838hrs local time.
