After a busy few weeks of regional and national rallying, Josefine Corinn Beinke, HANDBRAKES & HAIRPINS “Ladies in Rallying” campaigner, teams up with Christian Reidemann and his Ford Fiesta RS for their second outing in the FSTi at the WRC Rally Finland this weekend.

With the bad luck of the Vodafone Rally Portugal behind them, the young German duo of Reidemann and Beinke, who were forced to retire from the lead of the FSTi in their very first outing, look to repeat their pace but to also score maximum points.

“We are looking to get back into the fight for the title of the FSTi at the fastest rally on 2010’s calendar, the Neste Oil Rally Finland,” said Josefine.” We have had a tarmac test recently, and we featured this in HANDBRAKES & HAIRPINS, to boost our confidence on tarmac for the future FSTi rounds. There we finished in a very strong position, which we felt restored our confidence in the car after we experienced two retirements in it this season already.

“With backing from ADAC Stiftung Sport, we are looking forward to this rally. We have never been to Finland before, but we know that it is a very fast and challenging rally. Our main goal is to gain a lot of experience and, as it was in Portugal as well, to finish the rally,” concluded Josefine.

A total of fourteen FSTi crews have entered this weekend’s rally. Seven of those entrants are Finnish drivers, and they will probably be very hard to beat for the European crews.
