M-Sport’s Ford Fiesta RS WRC show car attended a rally of a very different kind this week, wowing political dignitaries at the second chamber of the UK Parliament – the House of Lords.

The vehicle which features the same livery as Ford Abu Dhabi World Rally Team drivers Jari-Matti Latvala and Mikko Hirvonen’s Ford Fiesta RS WRC, was present as the Motorsport Industry Association (MIA) held its annual summer reception in Westminster.

Invited guests included over 90 Ministers, MPs, MEPS, Lords and members of the media, as well as M-Sport’s Managing Director Malcolm Wilson OBE – an honorary MIA board member.

Lord Drayson, President of the MIA, hosted the summer reception in the River Terrace Marquee and Cholmondeley Room alongside the River Thames within the magnificent House of Lords in Westminster. M-Sport’s Ford Fiesta RS WRC was on display while guests enjoyed drinks on the terrace of the Palace of Westminster with views of Big Ben and the London Eye.

Chris Aylett, Motorsport Industry Association CEO, said: “On behalf of myself and the rest of the MIA, I would like to thank M-Sport for lending us the Ford Fiesta RS WRC show car for our annual summer reception. The event is the most prestigious networking reception of the year for MIA members and their guests which brings together over 200 key decision makers from the global motorsport industry. As M-Sport is one of the UK’s most successful motorsport businesses and Malcolm Wilson is a valued member of our board, we felt it was very fitting that the Ford Fiesta RS WRC had a presence at our event.”
