The 2025 FIA Junior WRC calendar (pending approval by the World Motor Sport Council) has been unveiled, promising an adrenaline-fuelled journey across iconic WRC stages. With the much-anticipated return of the Vodafone Rally de Portugal and the thrilling debut of the Central European Rally, this season is ready to test the mettle of the world’s most promising young drivers.

Building on 2024’s record-breaking entries, the Junior WRC continues to fuel the future stars of rallying. Talented young drivers will compete in identical M-Sport Poland Ford Fiesta Rally3 Evo machines across five carefully curated rounds, each offering a unique blend of challenges that will push these rising stars to their limits.

The 2025 Calendar – A Perfect Mix of Speed, Gravel, and Strategy

Rally Sweden – Umeå, 13–16 February

The season kicks off on the snow-and-ice-covered roads of Rally Sweden. Known for its blazing-fast stages and treacherous winter surfaces, Sweden offers Junior WRC drivers their first taste of studded tyres. With lightning-quick speeds and breathtaking Scandinavian landscapes, this opener guarantees fireworks right from the start.

Vodafone Rally de Portugal – Matosinhos, 15–18 May

In May, the action shifts to the iconic stages of Rally de Portugal – a fan-favourite with roots stretching back to the inaugural 1973 WRC season. Portugal’s sun-baked gravel roads and legendary jumps return to the Junior WRC calendar after a short hiatus, promising unforgettable moments and plenty of high-stakes drama.

EKO Acropolis Rally Greece – 26–29 June

June turns up the heat with the legendary Acropolis Rally. This summer date cranks up the already gruelling nature of the Greek rally, with searing temperatures and bone-rattling rocky stages. Survival and strategy will be paramount, as drivers navigate one of the most unforgiving events in motorsport.

Secto Rally Finland – Jyväskylä, 31 July–3 August

Rally Finland is back, delivering its trademark blend of blistering speeds and gravity-defying jumps. This gravel event, often dubbed the “Rally of the Gods,” will have drivers soaring over Finland’s forest roads in pursuit of victory, with fans lining the course for one of the sport’s most iconic spectacles.

Central European Rally – 16–19 October

The Junior WRC finale makes history with the debut of the Central European Rally, a unique cross-border event that spans Austria, the Czech Republic, and Germany. With unpredictable weather and diverse Tarmac stages, this showdown will test every ounce of skill. To raise the stakes, double classification points will be on offer, setting the stage for a high-octane fight to the finish.

“A Landmark Year” – Maciej Woda’s Take on the 2025 Season
