Evgeniy Novikov, Russia’s fastest rally driver and current star for the M-Sport Stobart Ford World Rally Team, has reportedly moved from Ford to Citroën for the WRC Rally Spain. Campaigning previously in a Citroën C4 WRC, Novikov bought a Ford Fiesta RS WRC for the 2011 World Rally Championship season.
With a mixed bag of results thus far with the Blue Oval rally weapon, the Russian has hired a Citroën DS3 WRC for the Spanish WRC event next month. Whether he will contest the 2011 season finale in a DS3 WRC or with his Fiesta RS WRC in Wales Rally GB is yet to be confirmed.
