The first day of Rally Spain is finished; Petter and Chris are 4th in the overall classification, 22 seconds behind Sebastien Loeb who is leading the rally. Sebastein Ogier is second and Jari Matti Latvala is third. 6 stages are done today, all with mixed surfaces; both tarmac and gravel.
“I’m quite happy with the day, except for that first stage were I lost so much time,” says Petter Solberg. “I just couldn’t find any grip at all, and no confidence.” Petter and Chris lost 20 seconds on the first stage of the day. “I just had to do some changes after the stage, and the stage win on SS2 showed us I did the right thing. The rest of the day has been good, and I’m going for second place tomorrow!”
Rally Spain continues with 6 more stages Saturday, all of them on tarmac. First car will be on the road from 0959.
